So I got really hooked to some of the old animated movies, one thing led to another and guess what I found? My favourite voice actor for an animated character.
Howard McGillin
Also known as the voice actor for Prince Derek in the Swan Princess, he holds the record for the most performances by an actor in the role of the Phantom on Broadway, and was part of the musical when it became the longest-running production in Broadway history on January 9, 2006. We're talking about over 1500 performances!
If you love musicals and Disney animations, here are some vids for you to connect the Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd and Swan Princess together. :)
Went to Suki's for fun today. I am usually free AND most importantly, stress-free on Wednesdays. :) Dropped her off at FAB Bangsar after getting ourselves some McFlurrys.
Watching Thumbelina now. Shush. Hahaha!
On the footie front, the Scousepaniards have been back in training. This Do-A-Deer pic is what you'll see next season. Re, a drop of golden suuuuun! And of course, expect a Stevie-Keane-Torres love triangle real soon.
As I mentioned earlier, I was up quite late yesterday so I slept only at 7am. Got up at about 11 when Chris text me about an extra VIP ticket to the Chelsea match later tonight. Since it's free, I decided to go and check it out.
Class was supposed to start at 2pm but the folks wanted to run some errands around PJ so I had to leave the house at 11am. Wanted to have lunch at Sunrise but it was freaking closed. Damnit.
Got to coll 30 minutes early. Finally made some decent conversations with two of my classmates and well, it turned out that I pretty much screwed up my Flash assignment. I wasted 3 freaking hours sweating over one minor detail. That is "5" is not the same as "Scene 5". F*ckity f*ck!
Rushed back home at 6.30, changed and waited for Chris at McD's. Saw Lillien and fam there too. Shah Alam was mildly jammed but you know what? If Liverpool were here I wouldn't get myself STUCK IN A JAM, and I'd run as fast as I could the moment I get off the car. To be honest, the atmosphere in the stadium was crap. I saw only 2 banners and well, the best they could come up with was the mexican wave. Yeah it sucked. The match wasn't really interesting either though I must say, Malaysia's last-ditch defending was something to be admired. LOL. Oh and the sight of John Terry topless too. :) Got a bit bored so we walked up and down the tiers, trying to shoot some decent pics. I think that's the nice part about the VIP area actually, it's less crowded and you get the freedom of walking around. Oh and I saw Harith Iskandar. Jason LO was sitting right behind us. Hehe.
LIVERPOOL FOREVER.
View from the top. View from the lower tiers. There's the sub bench behind me. The keepers. Terry. Towards the tunnel. Me. Deco. Phil. A Terry pic for my mum.
I'm done with my thaumatrope and most of Flash assignment. I'd forgotten about the Roberto one. Damnit.
Liverpool's clinched Robbie Keane for £19million. Rather a striker than a Barry. I wonder how much did the club calculator suffered to bring him in. It'd be freaking funny to see him in red though.
I am still doing my Flash assignment. And about time too! I've delayed it for a whole week.
Just got back from Groove's Junction. It's Szetho's farewell dinner. Knew him since Form One ahaha. He's leaving in about a month's time so yeah, good luck :)
Szetho. Ad, Andrew and Rais. Adrian (i didn't realise how hard it was to take a good picture) Ashley. WK+1 more inch.
Can't sleep. Am just YouTube-ing some videos to kill time.
James McAvoy as MacBeth. He's awesome.
ps: DUCKY! Remember that feller who got scorched/killed in The Bank Job and we were wondering who he was? He's Tommy Nettle from Atonement (one of soldiers in the Dunkirk scene). That's if you've actually watched it already. :P
Went to the Gardens this afternoon. Went into Art Friends to get myself a dowel but I felt silly leaving the shop with only a stick in hand so I bought a canvas LOL.
Watched Batman: The Dark Knight again with Chris. GSC Signature over the bloody IMAX theatre anytime man. At least I know what I was looking at AND I recognised Edison Chen. Haha. I almost jumped out of my seat when Aaron Eckhart screamed "SAY IT!" even though I saw it coming. Geez.
Tip of the day. Don't text during a family dinner. Apparently it is much more acceptable to look bored as my sibling found out earlier.
I was supposed to go for art class at 9am today but oh what the heck, I woke up at 8.30 thinking "what on earth can I do in that 45 minutes worth of class?" so I went back to sleep. I heard the flushing of 40 precious bucks down the toilet bowl the moment I hit the pillow. But I was tired.
Got to Subang Golf Club at about 11. The damned place wasn't even located in Subang! Kelana Jaya kononnya. Paid the 50 for the ticket and then got in. Rachel and Susan were already there. The occasion? Miss B's Graduation cum Birthday Party!!! It was real fun stuff. There were about 58 dances in total? The freestyle class did about 5 and we randomly joined in a couple at the start of the party. YMCA was soo cute! LOL.
I, predictably, messed up a little but at least I faced the right walls this time. Pheew. I kept invading Soo's space during Rain and well, I was just mimicking Sze's timing during the lyrical piece. Not THAT bad lar. The day ended with the cake cutting ceremony where everyone linked up and sang Happy Graduation/Happy Birthday and a cert presentation ceremony. There was also a lucky draw but I got nada. I won the yoghurt milkshake maker thing last year anyway. :P
Here are some pics from the day! (Not many cause I was using Sze's slr most of the time)
Sze and Tracy dancing.
Miss B and her "college" class!
Freestylers Florence, Fiona, Susan, Rachel and Sheryl.
Moral Studies was boring like shit. We were to come up with solutions for whatever problem we choose to have. I think the fellow was expecting something more moral/social-based cause he really frowned when we started stating out our solutions for "Excessive Weight Gain". What to do, he was THAT boring.
Moving on, napped for a while and then left for Decanter. (mwahahaha wilson) Adrian and Dao were there first, spent about 45 minutes or so before Ducky came. Scones.. yummers.
Alex Band is back on tour. Just to refresh your memories, Alex Band was the lead singer for the band, The Calling, but he's currently gone indie and he just rocks my socks!
Better still, he's updated his tour diary and I LOVE his entries. Long, wholesome posts about the ups and downs while being on tour. This time it included some really wacky stuff about his peeing experiences on the bus, being held hostage by some crazy Brazilians and jumping off 20 feet walls.
Okay things are getting a tad bit tougher in Malaysian Studies. Sigh.
Just spent the past hour watching Cooper playing with the baby monkeys. They love pulling his tail. Haha! Apparently he only hates the big one. I just saw Cooper interrupting the big monkey humping another munkeh. (again). I threw some peanuts into the backyard because I felt bad for those baby monkeys who were eating flowers off the grass. Don't think they saw them. Oh well.
I should have hunted down the old stylist and make her do my hair instead.
Some newbie dude did mine and he did not give me lowlights, instead he was told to HIGHlight it and he overdid it and did not cover the roots properly. I look like Tigger now. Stripy and all.
My initial plan for today was to stay in, sleep and then complete my flipbook.
Didn't happen.
Suki called me out for a so-called "surprise" which was lunch at the Prince Hotel with her mum. Aunty rocks. Lol. Anyway yeah we had some pretty great food there but it required quite some walking. Not knowing that I would be crossing the whole Sg Wang district, I wore bloody wedges. It hurt like shit. Oh yes it did. I still got the indentations of those straps on my foot. We switched shoes at one point but then decided to just buy a pair of cheap-ass slippers.
After walking through 5 different malls, Suki and I now have identical purses. They are big, black and HUGE. You can literally fit both your iPod and passport in it. :D 80% off wei. Very good price indeed.
Done with my flipbook. My flying Mika hamster thing didn't work out so I just animated my own name. I am so lazy.
Quote of the day. "Oi walk inside the yellow line. Or else you can't sue when they hit you!"
Just got back from Ducky's BBQ. Great food, great crowd. I tried something new! Sago something. Haha. My sister was flirting with the guys. Unbelievable. She was so quiet before the arrived. Anyhoos, we ought to make slaughtering Bohemian Rhapsody our past time cause we did it AGAIN. Here are some pics from the night. More from (hopefully) Ducky's blog.
Ducky mashing some potatoes. WJ pulling faces behind her. Don't know what my sister's doing. Suki, Jun, WK, Dao and Azreel.
Finally met MayYie! Haha. We hung around to watch people screaming and flinging their arms in the air at the MTV Roadshsow. I was distracted by 3 guys though.
Chris came after that. We saw a hamster doing backflips inside the waterbowl. BACKFLIPS! What a show-off. I got a video of it in my phone. :P
Not feeling really well during art class. Been thinking too much.
Ever been in a situation where you put up with things just to see them work out right in the end? You think they did at first, but it didn't and you're involuntarily forced back into a whole new situation where you just can't stop cursing the perpetrator's foolishness?
Anyhoos, meeting up with MayYie tomorrow. Can't wait for Ducky's BBQ. Smores! Oh and I'm getting my brother's gym membership since he hardly uses it. Need to lose the spares. :P
Moral Studies was terribly boring. Everyone was either chatting, texting away, going online or in my case, freezing to death. Example on how mundane it was.
Lt: "What is obedience?"
*silence*
Lt:" It means to be obedient."
Apparently one of my classmates had her phone stolen TWICE while waiting outside Courts Mammoth. God bless me and my MacBook then. Got home and slept like a pig after that.
New dress, people. I don't know how Lillien snaps a pic of herself off the mirror so yeah.
Batman: The Dark Knight was pretty good. Unfortunately, we were watching it at the IMAX theatre and it was disastrous. The screen was too wide and much too big for a low resolution movie. You know it's bad if the subtitles look pixel-ised. I can't put my finger on Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker just yet because all I saw was a messed up face. Need to get the HD DVD, pronto. But hey, I did enjoy watch Aaron Eckhaart.
My mum insisted that my dad should "escort" me home. I knew I was going home late (2 friggin 30 am) so I decided to drive to JW's but noooo, they still ended up coming over. Not that I really mind anyway but I felt bad for my dad. Le sigh.
Malaysian Studies is kind of fun. That is because the lecturer can't form cohesive sentences and it becomes a bit of a guessing game that lasts for three hours.
Lt: "What did the communists bawa with them?" Me: "Parang."
Lt: "Ideology lah!"
But I knew USA was formerly known as Virginia. Great rebound right there.
Slept at 5am thanks to my foolish act of accidentally deleting half the codes off my template. I was inserting the player codes before I saved the changes and the next thing I knew, the pages weren't showing up!
Thank goodness mending it wasn't such a pain.
Just got back from Hartamas actually. Had mamak with Adrian, JW, Dao and WK. Shuyen was there too. The guy wanted to give me a discount because I was wearing a Liverpool jersey haha. Waking up at 10 was so hard that my hands were trembling till I finished eating. Dropped JW home after that. Gonna meet them again later this afternoon to watch Batman. :)
